Description
This is a pre-solicitation notice. The AFLCMC/EBK Contracting Office at Robins AFB, GA has a requirement for the BOL/LAU-128B/A Rail, NSN 1440-01-633-1778, Part Number 200411935-10. The BOL/LAU-128B/A Rail provides structure for the installation of BOL chaff-dispenser system components to the LAU-128B/A Guided Missile Launcher Assembly. Predominant material is aluminum alloy. The Government intends to award a five year, firm fixed price, Requirements type contract with Best Estimated Quantities (BEQs). The RFP and resultant contract will be structured with one basic contract period of 12 months and five annual option periods. The best estimated quantities (BEQs) are as follows: Basic Period: 155 each; Option I: 40 each; Option II: 40 each; Option III: 40 each; Option IV: 40 each The BEQs are for USAF requirements. The BEQs are subject to change once solicitation is released. A First Article test may be required for this requirement. Details to be provided in the solicitation. A Technical Data Package (TDP) will be provided. The BOL/LAU-128B/A Rail shall be produced precisely to the TDP. Delivery requirements will be 240 calendar days after effective date of delivery order for the First Article and 240 calendar days after effective date of delivery order for the production units at a rate of 20 each per month. This requirement will be set-aside 100% for small businesses. FAR Part 15 procedures will be utilized. Offerors shall prepare their proposals in accordance with mandatory, explicit and detailed instructions contained in the RFP. The solicitation and the link to the data package will be posted to the Federal Business Opportunities website on or around 31 March 2015. NO HARD COPIES WILL BE PROVIDED. All questions regarding the RFP and/or the data package must be submitted in writing to Amy.Holder@us.af.mil. NO TELEPHONE QUESTIONS. All questions and answers will be uploaded to www.fedbizopps.gov. However, the identity of the potential offeror will not be included. Offerors are encouraged to register to receive notification for solicitation and all amendments/revisions and to check the FEDBIZOPPS site prior to submission of proposal.
