- This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE for market research purposes only to determine the availability of potential businesses with capabilities to provide the services described below. Potential offerors are invited to provide feedback via e-mail to Dean Umathum at dean.umathum@va.gov. Responses will be used to determine the appropriate acquisition strategy for a potential future acquisition. The intended contract period is a one-year base period plus (4) four one-year option periods. Potential contractors shall provide, at a minimum, the following information to Dean Umathum at Dean.Umathum@va.gov. 1) Company name, address, point of contact name, phone number, e-mail address, and DUNS. 2) Is your firm eligible for participation in one of the following small business programs? The Capabilities Statement for this sources sought is not expected to be a Request for Quotations, Request for Proposals or Invitation for Bids, nor does it restrict the Government to an ultimate acquisition approach, but rather the Government is requesting a short statement regarding the company's ability to provide the services outlined in the draft SOW below. Any commercial brochures or currently existing marketing material may also be submitted with the capabilities statement. Submission of capabilities statement will assist our office in tailoring the requirement to be consistent with industry standards. The capabilities will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining to Set-Aside for the Small Business (SB) Community or to conduct as an Unrestricted Procurement. Other than small businesses may respond to this notice in the event the market does not indicate SB interest. INSTALLATION OF THE MA/CATV CABLE INFRASTRUCTURE AND VIEWING DROPS TO 21 PATIENT AND STAFF AREA'S AT THE SEATTLE VAPSHCS CAMPUS WITH PLENUM RATED COAXIAL CABLE FOR THE PURPOSE OF HIGH DEFINITION TELEVISON SIGNAL TRANSMISSION. Seattle VA Puget Sound Healthcare system. 1660 S Columbian Way Seattle WA. 98108 1General: Installation of approximately 122 HD CATV drops to the patient treatment beds and staff areas of the VAPSHCS With HDTV signal distribution expanded to 5 new locations. 1.1Services Required: "Install RG-6 1Ghz Plenum rated coaxial cable to all patient treatment beds that have an HD television or is designated to receive an HD television in the future. The Cable runs will be home run back to a floor distribution cabinet where the signal strength will be balanced to provide sufficient strength for reception without pixilation at each bed. Each distribution closet will have an RG11 or RG6 feed from the Seattle VA Owned Commercial DirectTV System with enough signal strength for HD broadcast requirements. Amplification will be required to distribute this to each HDTV owned by the VAPSHCS. The VAPSHCS ( BMTU ) A review panel of the VAPSHCS Infection control committee has determined that complete room isolation will need to occur in the BMTU ward as listed in this section. "1 room per day only. No exposed ceiling tiles with the hall way door open. Isolation units mandatory. "Tyvek/Paper suits kept in isolation unit and cleaned with Heppa vacuum daily. "Upon spore test pass of the first room. A Patient will be transferred to the completed room and another installation can commence. "All tools will need to be covered on entry and exit, while reducing the number of patient room entries per day. "Zero dust spread into the Hall is expected. ( carry all tools necessary into the room the first time and complete the job without exiting intermittently ) "Basically: Anticipate 1 room per day scenario for this entire ward. The RG11, Distribution Amp and TAP tree's can be made without added precautions inside the Telecom Room. "A Fire?stop sleeve can be installed to get the 11 RG?6's into the interstitial even though only 1 penetration per day can be done into the assigned isolated BMTU room. "Our Surgical Intensive Care Unit ( SICU ) needs to have cables pulled through interstitial and a below tech needs to be in a containment unit while receiving, all floor penetrations need to be sealed before containment unit removed. "No more than 1 Ceiling tile removed simultaneously unless two containment units are used. 1.5Period of Performance: The contractor shall perform this service within 90 Days of award. 1.6Scope of work. a.This contract is only for the Seattle VAPSHCS campus it is a fixed firm price with specific quantities listed. b.All material and systems specification will need to be pre-approved in advance of award. c.Services outside of this contract without written authorization will be at the expense of the contractor.
