Description

This is a sources sought synopsis only. This is NOT a solicitation announcement. The purpose of this notice is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification (hubzone, 8(a), small, small disadvantage, or service disabled veteran owned small business) relative to NAICS code 811310 (size standard of $7.5 Million). Responses to this notice will not be considered as offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Information obtained will be used by the Government to determine the appropriate acquisition strategy for this procurement. The Government will not reimburse respondents for any cost associated with the submission of the information requested. This requirement is in the planning phase and therefore, all information is potentially subject to change. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Network Contracting Office 15, is seeking sources for a potential contractor to provide preventative maintenance and repair services including maintenance inspection, emergency field service support, software updates and upgrades, parts replacement and technical support for optimum operating efficiency for all covered hardware and software components of Government-owned Metasys Building Management System at the Colmery-O'Neil VA Medical Center, Topeka, KS. The intended contract period of performance will be for a one-year base period and four (4) one-year option periods. If you are interested and are capable of providing the required services please provide the requested information as indicated below. Response to this notice must include company name, address, point of contact, size of business pursuant to the following questions: (1) Is your business small; (2) If small, does your company qualify as a small, emerging business, or small disadvantaged business?; (3) If disadvantaged, specify under which disadvantaged group and if your company is certified under Section 8(a) of the Small Business Act?; (4) Is your firm a certified "Hubzone" firm?; (5) Is your company a woman-owned or operated business?; (6) Is your company a certified Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small or Veteran Owned Small Business? (7) If your firm holds a Federal Supply Schedule or GSA Schedule contract qualified to provide the services required above, provide a copy of the contract. All responses to this notification must be submitted via e-mail: to Mark Edzards at mark.edzards@va.gov with a subject line: "Interested Vendor for Preventative Maintenance and Repair Services of Metasys System no later than 12:00 p.m. CDT on March 20, 2015. It is the responsibility of interested vendors to verify successful delivery of email response to this notice to the Contracting Officer before the closing date. Telephone responses will not be accepted.
