- This is a Pre-Solicitation Notice - Constitutes Market Research This notice is to announce that the Department of Veterans Affairs is posting this requirement as a 100% Small Business set-aside. Any and all Small Businesses interested in bidding should download the solicitation documents and attachments from the www.fbo.gov website. This requirement is primarily for a Contractor to provide labor, tools, materials, equipment, transportation and supervision to perform maintenance and repairs on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis. The Contract shall perform maintenance at several buildings at the Palo Alto VA Medical Center to approximately 96 pieces of restaurant (kitchen) type equipment. Some of the equipment includes the following: Combo ovens, grills, convection oven, fryers, heat warmers, slicers, well warmers, pizza ovens, power soak units, tray and dishwashers, and Somat units. Work shall be performed at the Palo Alto Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) at 3801 Miranda Avenue, Palo Alto, CA 94304. The Contractor shall provide annual inspection, monthly maintenance and/or repairs to A La Carte kitchen equipment, refrigeration and heating computer controlled food delivery carts, etc. located in several buildings. Maintenance shall take place Monday through Friday from 8:00am-4:30 p.m. The proposed NAICS code is 811310 and small business size is $7.5 million. The VA intends to award a firm-fixed price contract for a period of one year plus four (4) option years to begin 30 days after the award of the contract. The formal solicitation document will be posted on/about March 16, 2015.
