- Description
- Update 01: The Hardware/Software Convergence Technology Day has been rescheduled for 01 April 2015. A revised schedule announcement has been included as an attached document. Update: The Technology Day Read ahead has been posted. Should you have any questions regarding that information please contact the contract specialist below. If interested in attending the event, please follow the instructions found in the attachment entitled, Technology Day Announcement. The purpose of this special notice is for the following: The U.S. Army Research, Development and Engineering Command (RDECOM) Communications-Electronics Research Development and Engineering Center (CERDEC) established the Hardware/Software Convergence Working-Level Integrated Product Team (HW/SW-WIPT) to develop and execute a detailed plan to achieve a modular, open family of hardware and software components for implementing interoperable Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) and Electronic Warfare (EW) capabilities on Army ground vehicles. A Technology Day is being held to provide potential technology partners with the opportunity to learn about the mission and activities of the HW/SW-WIPT. Representatives from CERDEC will present the architecture and specifications that have been adopted or developed, along with the plan to mature them by developing reference implementation over the upcoming years. Ensuing discussions will provide technology partners with a forum to express questions, concerns, and/or suggestions to help influence CERDEC Science and Technology (S&T) efforts. It is CERDEC's hope that technology partners will align their internal research and development (IRAD) activities with the architectural constructs that are presented. Please contact contract specialist Tim Weiman via email with any questions or concerns. Should your company be interested in attending, please follow the guidance found in the Technology Day Announcement, section 1.3. Timothy.J.Weiman.civ@mail.mil
