- Description
- THIS IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers intends to increase capacity of W912WJ-08-D-0007. This action is required for completion of the remaining scope of work defined in the task order listed below, issued to Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, LLP (SOM). This task order was issued under a properly synopsized and competed IDIQ contract. Prior to the approval of a previous justification and approval increasing the maximum value of this IDIQ contract, as a result of administrative inadvertence, an option to extend the IDIQ contract was not timely exercised. This task order was within the scope, within the maximum value of the IDIQ contract, and within the potential period of performance of the IDIQ contract at the time it was issued but due to necessary task order modifications, the task order has exceeded the maximum value of the IDIQ contract. In the interest of transparency, in an abundance of caution, and to prevent any continued actual or apparent irregularities, the Government is pursuing the action identified herein to correct this internal and administrative mistake. Contract No. W912WJ-08-D-0007 Task Order No. 0002: Design of the National Museum of the United States Army (NMUSA), Fort Belvoir, VA. The work will consist of performing Architect-Engineer services to finish the nearly completed design of the Roads and Infrastructure Improvements project for the National Museum of the United States Army and perform construction phase services during construction activities for this project on Fort Belvoir, VA for the Corps of Engineers - New England District. All responsible sources may submit a response, which, if timely received, will be considered by the agency. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. It is a market research tool being used to determine the availability of other qualified sources that can meet the requirements identified above. The Government is not obligated to and will not pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this notice of intent. All responses received within 15 days of the posting of this notice, will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Submit any inquiries within 15 days of the posting of the notice of intent via email: Jessica.R.Loc@usace.army.mil (list W912WJ-08-D-0007-0002 in the subject line of the email) or mail to U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, ATTN: Jessica Loc, 696 Virginia Rd., Concord, MA 01742.
