Description

The VA White River Junction VAMC, intends to negotiate on a sole source basis per FAR 5.301 and pursuant to FAR 6.302-1-(2)(ii)(a), (iii)(b) - Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements with Ronco, Communications and Electronics of 300 Cornerstone Drive, Williston, VT 05495, a SAM registered small business, for the installation and upgrade of microphones, cables and hardware as well as providing and installing additional A/V transmitting related equipment compatible with the previous installation and programming. This is because RONCO is the only known company that can meet the unique compatibility requirements as they are the primary vendor for the required equipment,it is imperative that RONCO complete the system that has been previously provided and installed thus far. Ronco Communications currently maintain OIT's telephone switches under GSA contract at the WRJ VA, and there for fulfilled all the security requirements needed to complete this task timely and without undue burden the government. Because they have fulfilled the security requirements, no additional supervision arrangement need to be made by the VA OI&T staff. The vendor completed work on the original project, knows the issues, design, install of the original equipment, and can complete this project without interruption. This requirement will include the following characteristics: Audio Visual microphone equipment, remote transmitters, cables, hardware design and install needed to upgrade our existing audio capabilities for the AV system in Bldg. 44 room 103. Vendor will add one digital signal processor and reprogram existing transmitting equipment for new wireless mics, remove and replace existing wireless microphones and program the existing Crestron equipment as required for additional microphones. Vendor to install all cabling and hardware as required for the microphone addition. This requirements equipment will include (description and model number) 1.8 channel access point transceiver. MXWAPT 8 2.8 port networked charging station. MXWNCS8 3.8 channel analog interface switch. MXWANI8 4.Body pack transmitter w/integrated mic. MXW1/O 5.Wireless boundary layer cardioid. MXW6/C 6.Tan flexible head worn countryman. WCE6iT 7.10 mic/line inputs and 6 mic/line output NEXICA CS 8.System Design, Delivery Engineering, Programming, and Installation. 9.Cables and Miscellaneous Hardware. This Notice of Intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. Small businesses may identify their interest, accompanied by supporting literature, to the Contracting Officer no later than 03/20/2015 @ 2:00pm. Responses should be sent to Torben Ohlsson Contract Specialist, Torben.Ohlsson@va.gov. Information received will be for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. The determination to conduct a competitive procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer.
