Description

This Sources Sought Notice is for informational and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation or commitment by the Government at this time. This notice is intended strictly for market research. The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is to determine interest and capability of potential vendors relative to the North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) 333314 (Optical Instrument and Lens Manufacturing) and whether or not these items requested are offered on a federal supply schedule. The Department of Veteran's Affairs is seeking sources to supply and install a surgical microscope. Zeiss Ophthalmic Operating Microscope has been known to meet the need, specifically that it: (1) directly interacts with "Forum" software - the image processing and storage software that is used for ophthalmic image management, and (2) allows for viewing of superimposed assistance functions in the surgeon's eyepiece, allowing for better guidance and precision and fewer interruptions and head movements. Interested sources are requested to submit an email delineating qualification, capabilities, and experience for providing this product. Please include your business size with your submittal. This is not a Request for Proposal or an announcement of a solicitation and no solicitation package exists at this time. Your responses will be used solely for market research purposes of the Government. The Government will not pay for any materials provided in response to this notice and submittals will not be returned to the sender. The applicable North American Classification System (NAICS) Code for this requirement is 333314 and the small business size standard is 500 Employees. Responses due are to be submitted by e-mail to Alea.Barnes@va.gov. The information requested must be received no later than 3:00 pm Central Standard Time on March 22, 2015.
