Description

Justification and Approval THIS IS A SOLE SOURCE NOTICE. The USDA/ARS intends to award a Firm fixed price sole source contract under the 41 U.S.C 253 (c) (1) FAR 6.302-1 (2) (C) (ii) (a) only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Alternative Design Manufacturing and Supply Inc., 3055 Cheri Whitlock Drive, Siloam Springs, AR 72761-2011. Description of Requirement: The objective of this sole source award is to procure and conduct negotiations for acquisition to purchase four (4) 9 cage Start Grow Unit- stainless steel with PVC floors to house young through adult chickens. Each Start Grow Unit will house approximately 100 young chicks for the full length of the experiment. Part: SG9-24X24X18-SSPV-MW - 9 Cage Start Grow SS; 9 Cage Start/Grow Unit - Stainless Steel with PVC Floors. The NAICS code for this requirement is 333111 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes however; all information received by March 27, 2015 will be considered by the Government. All interested vendors must respond by March 27, 2015, 11:30 a.m. Eastern Standard Time. Responses shall be submitted to the point of contact Patricia Jones at pat.jones@ars.usda.gov. The e-mail subject line shall state: AG-32SC-15-R734142 Notice of Intent to Sole Source. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based on upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
