Description
W911KB-15-T-0010 Northern Area Office Janitorial Service, NORTH POLE, ALASKA THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is conducting market research to facilitate a determination of acquisition strategy. The determination of acquisition strategy for this acquisition lies solely with the government and will be based on this market research and information available to the government from other sources. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Alaska District, is conducting this market research to identify businesses which have the capability to perform the following work: This solicitation will be considered for a SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE to include 8(a), Small Woman-Owned Business, Disabled Veteran-Owned business, and Hub Zone business. Any resulting contract will be firm-fixed priced. The solicitation for this project will be available by INTERNET ACCESS ONLY and will be available for download on or about April15, 2015. Access to the documents will be through a link on the FedBizOpps website: http//www.fbo.gov. Use the Advance Search function and use this solicitation number to Search by Solicitation/Award Number. Any future amendments to this solicitation will also be available for download from the FedBizOpps website. The selected contractor is required to have sufficient staff, flexibility, and capability to be available to perform the janitorial duties as required by the scope of work. Interested firms must be able to provide all management, tools, supplies, parts, materials, equipment, transportation, and trained labor necessary to provide for Northern Area Office Janitorial, Fort Wainwright, Alaska. The bid schedule will include additional work as option years. The estimated dollar magnitude of this project is anticipated to be between $25,000 and $100,000. The performance period will be June 1 2015 through May 30, 2016 for the base period. The Service Contract Act applies for this acquisition. Bid, payment, and performance bonds are not required for services contracts. There is a requirement for insurance for work on a Government installation in accordance with FAR 52.228-5. The contractor shall have at least the minimum amounts of insurance as required in FAR 28.307-2. Therefore, the successful offeror shall have the capability to acquire such insurance. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: This is a Janitorial Contract to provide service for the Northern Area Office located on Fort Wainwright, Alaska. The Alaska District Corps of Engineers Northern Area Office has a requirement for the janitorial/grounds maintenance. The services will be provided on a three(3) day per week Monday through Friday schedule. All services will be performed between 6 PM to 5AM. There are no Government furnished materials or equipment for this project. Type of contract is firm-fixed-price. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 561720, The small business size standard for this NAICS Code is $18.0 Million. THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT FOR QUALIFIED PRIME CONTRACTOR FIRMS ONLY. All interested firms are encouraged to respond to this announcement no later than 1 April 2015, 2:00 PM AST, by submitting all requested documentation listed below to: US Army Corps of Engineers, Alaska District, ATTN: CEPOA-CT (Suprenant, PO Box 6898, JBER, AK 99506-0898 or via email to michael.d.suprenant@usace.army.mil Interested firms should submit a capabilities package (not exceeding 2 pages) demonstrating the ability to perform work listed above. Packages should include the following information: (1) Business name, address and business size under NAICS 561720 (2) If a small business, identify small business type (HUBZone, SDVOSB, 8(a), Woman Owned Small Business, etc) and DUNS Number. (3) Demonstration of the firm's experience as a prime contractor on projects of similar size, type and complexity within the past five years. List actual projects completed and include project title and location, a brief description of the project to include dollar amount of the project and work that was self-performed. Responsible sources demonstrating relevant experience and the capabilities to perform the work will be considered. If the project is cancelled, all proposal preparation costs shall be borne by the offeror. System for Award Management (SAM), as required by FAR 4.1102 and 4.1201, will apply to this procurement. Prospective contractors must be registered prior to award. Lack of registration in the SAM database will make an offeror ineligible for award.
