Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office located in Murfreesboro, Tennessee intends to issue a sole source firm fixed priced contract to Roche Diagnostic Corporation, 9115 Hague Road, Indianapolis, IN 46256-1025. Roche Diagnostic Corporation will furnish all labor, transportation, parts, and expertise necessary to provide preventive maintenance of the Ventana Slide Stainer EE69905, S/N: 312442, Model: N750-BMKXF-FS, located at the Robley Rex VA Medical Center, 800 Zorn Avenue, Louisville, KY 40206. The requirement will be sole sourced to Roche Diagnostics Corporation due to the fact that Roche Diagnostics Corporation is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of this critical lab instrument, which is utilized in relation to direct patient care. Any utilization of a third party vendor will jeopardize the instrument's reliability as factory training and access to design is restricted to Roche Diagnostic Corporation personnel. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1 and 13.106-1(b) (2), "soliciting from a single source." The NAICS code is 811219 and has a size standard of $20.5M for this procurement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement and submit quotations no later than 3:00p.m. CST, March 20, 2015 to: Victoria.Rone3@va.gov. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government reserves the right to use information provided by respondents for any purpose deemed necessary and legally appropriate.
