- EXCEPT AS MODIFIED OR AMPLIFIED IN RFP, THIS ITEM CONTAINS CLASS C EXPLOSIVES. DFAR CLAUSE 252.223-7002, SAFETY PRECAUTIONS FOR AMMUNITION AND EXPLOSIVES (MAY 1994) APPLIES. THIS ACQUISITION CONTAINS EXPLOSIVE NAVAL ORDNANCE ITEMS, WHICH REQUIRE SPECIAL SECURITY, SAFETY AND TRANSPORTATION CLAUSES. THE CLAUSES MAY BE FOUND IN SECTION I. CODE N742.07 NOTE: PAPER COPIES OF THE SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE PROVIDED BY THE NAVY. THIS PROCUREMENT IS RESTRICTED TO APPLIED ENERGY TECHNOLOGY CORP. THIS ITEM IS AN EXPLOSIVE DEVICE. NSN: 1377-01-392-4939, MT69 CCU-122/A FIRE EXTINGUISHER CARTRIDGE QUANTITY: 38 EA USED IN THE EA-6B PROWLER. FIRST ARTICLE TESTING, PRODUCTION LOT TESTING, CONTRACT DATA REQUIREMENT LIST, AND FOB ORIGIN APPLY. A DIGITAL CERTIFICATE IS REQUIRED FOR VIEWING WEB BASED DRAWINGS. NOTE: This is an electronically formatted solicitation, available only on the Navy Web page at http://www.neco.navy.mil. Paper copies of the solicitation are not available from the Navy. The solicitation will be available only on the web page on or about 2 APRIL 2015. You may view and/or download the solicitation only from that web page. Award will be made only if the offeror, the product/service or the manufacturer meets qualification requirement at time of award, in accordance with FAR clause 52.209-1 or 52.209-2. The solicitation identifies the office where additional information can be obtained concerning qualification requirements and is cited in each individual solicitation. Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Governments requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice.
