Description

The U. S. Department of Commerce (USDOC), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) intend to procure construction services for roof replacement at the Miami Weather Forecast Office (WFO)/National Hurricane Center (NHC), FL. The Contractor will provide all materials, labor, and equipment necessary to remove and dispose of the existing roof system as specified in the manufacturers approved installation guidelines, and to install a new Poly Vinyl Chloride (PVC) Roof System. The roof in total is approximately 27,000 square feet in size, consisting of 9 separate and distinctive roof systems. The Contractor will replace the existing tar and gravel roof with a new PVC roofing system. Roofing Product must be an approved product that qualifies with Florida Power and Light (FPL) Roof Savings Program. See FPL website for details. https://www.fpl.com/business/save/programs/roof.html The completion time is 30 calendar days after Notice to Proceed. This is a total small business set-aside. Estimated Construction cost is $250,000 to $500,000.00. Specifications and Request for Proposal documents will be available on or about April 9, 2015 and can be uploaded from the FBO website. Firms interested in receiving a copy of the solicitation and drawings should send an email to the contracting officer and contract specialist, referencing this announcement number. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which will be considered by the agency. This service is being procured under the guidelines of FAR Part 15, Contracting By Negotiations, Competitive Acquisitions. The Western Acquisition Division (WAD) requires that all contractors doing business with the Acquisition Office must be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM). For additional information and to register in SAM please access the following website: https://www.sam.gov/portal/SAM/#1. No award can be made unless the vendor is registered in SAM.
