Description
This is a clarification to the synopsis entitled PROCUREMENT OF CREW TRANSPORTATION AND RESCUE SERVICES FROM ROSCOSMOS, SOLICITATION NO. NNJ15539678L posted on February 6, 2015. You are notified that the following clarification is made: As stated in the original synopsis NNJ15539678L dated February 6, 2015, Under nominal operations, these services will be fulfilled by June 30, 2019.NASA reiterates that once it is determined that the US Commercial entities are able to fulfill increment crew transportation requirements, the US Commercial vehicles will become NASA's primary transportation source to the ISS. However, the Soyuz vehicles procured under this action may then be utilized to ensure proper launch cadence or to augment future ISS operations and research if the services are available from only one responsible source (Roscosmos). Therefore, in order to provide the agency with the optimum ability to utilize these procured seats as a backup transportation option or for the reasons mentioned herein. In order to do the above, the contract period of performance will be extended to December 31, 2020 (the current Iran, North Korea, Syria, Nonproliferation Act authority). All other information provided under the previous synopsis remains unchanged. The due date for responses IS NOT extended. Documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet. These documents will reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application.
