Description

The VA Network 22 Logistic Office intends to enter into sole source procurement with Compass Medical Technologies/MEDOC. This proposed contract action is being conducted under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, incorporates provisions and clauses as those in effect. This procurement is for the PATHWAY Pain & Sensory Evaluation. The PATHWAY System is a mobile, configurable platform that can be used for pain and peripheral nerve disease research, pharmaceutical development and clinical applications. Functionality provides the following: Quantitative sensory testing (QST); determination of cold and heat sensation and pain thresholds; temporal summation (Windup) through rapid oscillation control; psychophysical testing for heating and cooling; evaluation of patient's subjective response (via push button or computerized visual analogue scale - CoVAS); and automatic comparison of test results to normative reference data. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely by the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No solicitation document exists and no telephone inquiries will be accepted. Inquires will only be accepted by email at rosetta.quintons@va.gov.
