- Description
- SF 1442 Amendment No. 006 to P15PS00421 Amendment No. 006 Questions & Answers 1) Amendments have been issued without an SF30. How shall we accomplish proper acknowledgement of them. Please acknowledge all amendments on the SF 1442 issued with this Amendment No. 006. 2) Section L, Factor 1 c. Project Plan states to "provide a narrative on ability to schedule work by developing a critical path schedule". Are we to provide a narrative or a schedule to comply with this request? Both. 3) Schedule B Price sheet Items 7-12 request unit pricing but do not provide quantities. Please clarify, because if contractors use different quantities, the evaluated prices will not be comparable. This is a firm fixed price contract. Unit pricing information is requested for price comparison only. 4) Asbestos Spec Section 020950 1.8 requests unit prices; however, this is not included on the price sheet Schedule B. This is a firm fixed price contract. Unit pricing information is requested for price comparison only. 5) EPDM Sure Fleece 115 is only offered by Carlisle Syntec. The Government requirement is fleece backed EPDM. There are several suppliers of fleece backed EPDM. 6) Amendment 1 Q&A's question number 2. If the "Contractor is fully responsible for all hazardous material abatement on this project." Then the contractor must abate all hazardous materials in the "Asbestos Survey" which means all of the transite panels including inside panels, pipe insulation, all of the roofing and all of the vinyl floor tiles listed on page 8 of the report. Additionally any lead paint is considered hazardous and must be abated. The answer says "ACM has been identified on the existing canopy roofs in the transite panels." It appears by the quantities on page 8 of the report (Roofing 105,560 sf.) that the roofing membrane on top of the hangar also must be abated. Is this your instruction to bidders given in the answer to question 2 to abate all hazardous materials recommended for abatement in the report? The roof membrane is not hot, as per the report. 7) An asbestos report was issued with Amendment 1 written by Froehling & Robertson dated June 20, 2014. The original RFP included another asbestos report from Prizm, Inc. dated May 2009. Does the report issued in the amendment replace the report issued with the RFP? The second report is not a replacement. Both reports are part of the contract. If there is a discrepancy between the two reports, the June 20, 2014 report governs. 8) Hand delivered proposals will be checked in and dated at the Guard Station. 9) The Question and Answer period is closed. 10) The proposal due date is extended. Proposals are due no later than 0600 MT, March 24, 2015.
