Description

The Naval Air Systems Command intends to award a sole source firm-fixed-price contract with Photo-Sonics, Inc. (Photo-Sonics), for the procurement of Mission Assessment Recording System (MARS) Cameras. This requirement supports the USN requirement to procure 15 EA-18G full-rate production aircraft in Fiscal Year (FY) 2015. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority 10 USC 2304 (C) (1) as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, 'Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.' Photo-Sonics is the only source for the MARS Camera that satisfies the EA-18G aircraft requirements and can meet the production schedule requirements; and as such, is the only known firm with the knowledge, experience, and technical expertise required to accomplish this effort.
