- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Lakehurst, NJ intends to procure on a limited competitive basis with Ether NDE LTD (Original Equipment Manager) and their authorized distributor for the procurement of a base quantity of six each and an option quantity of six each of P/N KIVEE001-H in support of the P-8A aircraft. NAWCAD intends to award a Firm Fixed Price type contract. The Ether NDE LTD is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the equipment for use in the P-8A. The Government does not possess the technical data necessary to compete this procurement. The Government intends to procure these items under the authority of 10 U.S.C 2304(c)(1) as cited in FAR 6.302-1, Only One Reasonable Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements, therefore, this is not a request for competitive proposals. However, responsible sources are encouraged to submit a proposal in writing that may be used by the Government in determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the response to this notice is solely within in the discretion of the Government. Responses must be received within fifteen (15) days of publication of this notice.
