Description

PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE The contractor shall provide all labor tools, materials, transportation and equipment to: Phase-I: The East Glass wall measuring (144"L X 132"H) will be replaced with a new wall with a 6' clear opening Sliding Door and a Door Operator. The new wall construction must match with the remaining structure. The Door Operator should have all the safety features to prevent closing on the pedestrians and on the gurneys. To operate the door while exiting from inside a push button shall be installed on the building wall adjacent to the door. For entry into the ER the door should operate by a proximity sensor and a redundant Push Button installed on the frame of the Glass Wall East of the door. Before the existing wall is removed a construction barrier will be built inside the Vestibule to allow access to the pedestrians using the revolving door. Also perimeter fence/barricades will be installed outside around the wall. The Door Operator will use the existing power. Phase II: The floor inside the Vestibule (10'X12'), the wheelchair alcove (10'X8'), and the adjoining entry (10'X14') into the building will be repaired, leveled and finished epoxy surface. While this work is being performed the Vestibule entry will be closed and appropriate signage will be displayed. After the work is completed the Vestibule will reopen. Phase III: The existing concrete pavement (9'X11') in front of the Vestibule will be removed and re-poured with concrete pitched to ensure water does not stand. The current sidewalk at the circular road will be extended to connect with the existing pavers in front of the vestibule. There must be a smooth transition from the Ambulance Parking to the vestibule entry. While this work is being performed the Entry/Exit through the Vestibule is possible through the Sliding Door opening. Appropriate fencing/barricades shall be installed for safety of pedestrians and patients. This construction project is set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB's). All prospective contractors must be verified on the Center for Veterans Enterprises (CVE) website, www.vetbiz.gov, to be considered for award. The solicitation, will be posted on www.fbo.gov. The solicitation will be issued on/about 15 April 2015 and closed on or about 15 May 2015. In accordance with Public Law 109-461, of the Veterans Benefits, Healthcare and Information Technology Act of 2006. Pursuant to 38 USC 8127(d), competition is restricted to SDVOSB construction firms. The project magnitude range is between $25,000 and $100,000. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 236220. Time for completion is 60 days after Notice to Proceed.
