PRE-SOLICTATION NOTICE FOR ROADWAY IMPROVEMENTS AT LEAVENWORTH NATIONAL CEMETERY, LEAVENWORTH, KS (PROJECT NO. 897CM3020) The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), National Cemetery Administration, intends to solicit bids under Information for Bid Number VA-786A-15-B-0014 for the following: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), National Cemetery Administration intends to issue an INFORMATION FOR BID for Roadway Improvements at Leavenworth National Cemetery located at 395 Biddle Boulevard, Leavenworth, Kansas 66027as described herein. ROAD RENOVATIONS: The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment and supervision necessary to prepare the site for six phases of work including demolition and removal of existing structures, and furnish labor and materials and perform work for removal of existing roadways, construction of storm sewer, and construction of asphalt roadways with curb and gutter, grading, erosion control and sodding as required by drawings and specifications. No organized site visit is scheduled for this requirement; however a site visit may be arranged by contacting Mr. Mike Bricker at 913-682-2000 extension 53147 between 7:30 AM and 4:00 PM Central Standard Time. MAGNITUDE OF CONSTRUCTION: Between $1,000,000 and $2,000,000. CONTRACT DURATION: Performance period for this requirement is approximately 180 calendar days from date of receipt of the Notice to Proceed. NAICS CODE: 237310 "Highway, Street, and Bridge Construction" SIZE STANDARD: $36.5 Million METHOD OF AWARD: THE GOVERNMENT CONTEMPLATES AWARD OF A FIRM FIXED-RICE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT UNDER 100% COMPETITVE SET ASIDE FOR SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS (SDVOSB). Award will be made on a competitive basis under Federal Acquisitions Regulations (FAR) 14 to a responsible SDVOSB business responding to this solicitation. OBTAINING SOLICITATION MATERIALS: Details of the Invitation for Bid (IFB) may be accessed ONLY via FedBizOpps at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. No telephone requests will be accepted. The solicitation and drawings will be released for issue on or about April 3, 2015. SOLICITATION AMENDMENTS: Amendments to the solicitation will be up loaded to FedBizOpps.
