ENERGY INDUSTRY DAY FOR DEPARTMENT OF THE NAVY - BEING HELD AT WASHINGTON DC AT GAYLORD CONVENTION CENTER The DON will conduct a Utility Resiliency Industry Day on Wednesday, April 14, 2014 at the Sea, Air, Space Conference located at the Gaylord Hotel near Washington DC. Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) HQ in association with CNIC, CMC, OPNAV N46 and DASN-e will conduct an Energy Industry Day on utility resiliency on Tuesday, April 14, 2014, from 9:00 A.M. “ 11:00 A.M. at Navy League Sea Air Space 2015 Exposition, Potomac 1-2. This Energy Industry Day will provide an opportunity for the Department of the Navy to present challenges, concepts, and strategies to industry experts in an open forum. The dialogue will contribute to the development of requirements generation and help educate the attendees on new and emerging technologies. Topics to be discussed include, but are not limited to, utility resiliency and reliability, distributed generation, cogeneration, distribution system reliability, energy security, energy conservation, and energy efficiency. In addition to obtaining market research information, another important aspect of this event is to foster communication and promote opportunities for interested industry parties. All interested industry representatives are welcome to attend. The forum outcomes and lessons learned will be utilized to help identify requirements for utility resiliency at Naval Installations. Industry participants desiring to attend can find more information at: http://www.seaairspace.org/ The information provided does not constitute sensitive source selection materials nor is it intended to provide any potential offeror any type of competitive advantage should a solicitation for a requirement be issued in the future.
