Description
DESCRIPTION: The U.S. Army Contracting Command, New Jersey (ACC-NJ) on behalf of the Office of the Project Manager, Maneuver Ammunition Systems (OPM-MAS), is issuing a market survey to identify potential sources who are capable of producing a 40mm Low Velocity (LV) Door Breach (DB) ammunition. The ammunition should be capable of breaching a variety of wood and metal doors in single/double door configurations while not endangering the gunner. PLANNED ACQUISITION: This notice is being issued for informational purposes only and is not a solicitation nor does it obligate the Government to issue a solicitation. In addition, the Government does not intend to pay for any information provided under this notice. The Government is not obligated to notify respondents of the results of this notice and does not intend to do so. SUBMISSION INFORMATION: All responsible, interested sources responding to this notice shall include information regarding their capability to provide 40mm LV DB ammunition. Interested companies should provide their company name, address, company size (including # of employees), Point of Contact's name, telephone number and email address. In addition, request that respondent provide the following: (1) A description of the ammunition's design, item nomenclature, performance, safe separation distances/lethality characteristics, weapon compatibility (M320 & M203). (2) What types of door have been breached with this ammunition (include specific door material, thickness, lock type, swing, number of rounds required)? (3) What is the minimum and maximum engagement distances? (4) What is the maximum engagement angle? (5) Summary of technology readiness level (TRL) i.e. cartridge, fuze, warhead. (6) Are novel explosives or warhead designs utilized? If so, describe novel design features. (7) Other areas where ammunition is used i.e. other government's organizations, foreign governments, teaming agreements etc. (8) Estimated timeframe for production/delivery for each of the above items a.200 Cartridges b.25,000 Cartridges c. 10 Fuzes (9) Hazard Classification Interested sources are encouraged to submit the requested information within 30 days of this notice to: U.S. Army Contracting Command - New Jersey, Bldg. 10, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806, Attn: Austin Alpaugh, Contract Specialist, Email: austin.m.alpaugh.civ@mail.mil, Phone: (973) 724-5166.
