Description
Request for Information (RFI) Disk Imaging Hardware DUE: 27 MARCH 2015 The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center (SPAWARSYSCEN) Atlantic, Code 63320 is seeking information on commercially-available Disk Imaging Hardware. The Disk Imaging Hardware must be capable of the following: All-in-one PCI-E device for data recovery imaging Support of native SATA functions for drive diagnostics and imaging such as PHY and COMRESET Configurable, visual, interactive data recovery imaging environment Extensive drive diagnostics: individual heads, media, PCB, mechanical issues A hardware solution bypassing the computers BIOS Full sector map and metadata stored on destination (or separate configuration) drive Stop/resume imaging at any time Fully configurable multi-pass imaging Drive ready timeout processing Read sector timeout controlled by Software/Hardware reset and power cycle Backwards imaging Validation of data on-the-fly: Hex view, File counters, File System elements Support of drives over 2TB Imaging by selective head Disable SMART subsystem Disable Read Look-Ahead option Multiple methods of bad sector recovery Bit level analysis of corrupted data to filter out the read-write channel noise Imaging only the needed partitions/directories/files Set/Clear HPA Reset DCO settings (with Forensics add-on capability) Power protection for the source drive Adjustable read block size Process each byte in a sector, ignoring error correction codes. Vendor-specific commands to interface with Western Digital, Toshiba, and Hitachi drives Ability to be compatible with USB Add-on, Current-Monitoring Add-on, Network Add-on, and the ATA Extender Add-on. Separate hardware cards for SATA imaging and SAS imaging. Review of this information is being performed by SSC-LANT Code 58520, which aims to conduct objective comparative assessments and validations of commercial Data Recovery Hardware to determine if the solution meets the Governments requirements. All information received will be treated as public knowledge and may be used in SSC-LANT documentation; therefore, vendors should not submit proprietary information in response to this RFI. Specific information sought includes: 1. Company information, including name, address, URL, revenue, and number of employees. 2. Whether the company is a manufacturer or distributor. 3. A point of contact for follow-up information, and the point of contacts phone number and e-mail address. 4. Product name and a description of features. 5. Cost information such as purchase price and General Services Administration (GSA) schedule information. The submitted information will be evaluated for inclusion in SSC-LANT projects. If a SSC-LANT project requiring this type of equipment is executed, the equipment selection will be based upon a number of factors, including responder surveys and focus group inputs. Consequently, follow-up requests for feedback should not be made through Federal Business Opportunities posting agency.
