The Data Recovery Hardware must be capable of the following: 1) Form factor: Embedded PC expansion board which uses two slots Interface type: Four-channel PCI Express 2.5 GB/s Diagnostic ports (location): 4-SATA (external), 2-PATA (internal) Processing modes: SATA - UDMA133/100/66/33, PIO4/3/2/1/0 PATA - UDMA100/66/33, PIO4/3/2/1/0 Power adapter: Four-channel adapter with protection from overvoltage and current overloading. HDD Connectors are external Supported HDD: 500 MB - 6 TB: 3.5", 2.5",1.8",1.0" 2) Form factor: Embedded PC expansion board which uses two adjacent slots Interface type: Four-channel PCI Express 2.5 GB/s Diagnostic ports (location): 4 - SAS (internal) Maximum Data Transfer Speed: 300 MB/sec for each port Processing modes:: SATA - UDMA133/100/66/33, PIO4/3/2/1/0 PATA - UDMA100/66/33, PIO4/3/2/1/0 Power adapter: four-channel adapter with overvoltage and current overloading protection. HDD connectors are internal. Supported HDD: from 18 GB to 2 TB; 3.5", 2.5" 3) A wide variety of supported levels is provided: simple RAID levels: 0 (Stripe), 1 (Mirror), JBOD, 1E Offset, 1E Adjacent, 4, 5, 5E, 5EE, 6, 6 Adaptec Combined levels: 10, 50, 60, 51 etc. Tabular presentation enables defining optional configurations Restoring software RAID and NAS A wide variety of RAID members are supported: Up to four damaged HDDs connected Storage devices connected in a standard way (including SCSI and SAS) Image-files Data Extractor tasks created previously with copies to files Previously created virtual RAIDs Advanced functions for working with damaged HDDs in RAIDs Unique modes of automatic and interactive detection for RAID configurations Software emulation of RAID controller: Mounting of virtual RAID to Operating System High read speed (more than 400 MB/sec for a stripe of 4 HDDs connected to the 4 ports Recovering data from redundant arrays 4) Solid State Drive Data Recovery read and write the content of the SSD's ROM load the microcode into the drives's RAM emulate the translator operation in order to get access to user data view the password and reset the password that was earlier set on an SSD turn off background processes in an SSD to prevent data damage provide direct access to the content of memory chips (it makes unsoldering unnecessary) work with the Data Extractor Solid State Drive Repair diagnose an SSD in factory mode verify and restore the SSD's service information read and write the content of the SSD's ROM load the microcode into the drive's RAM view the logs of hidden defects (P-page, G-page) perform low-level formatting to hide the discovered defects change the configuration and identification parameters reset the logs and S.M.A.R.T. parameters search for the damaged memory chips 5) Separate hardware board for drives with SATA connectors and separate hardware board for drives with SAS connectors. Review of this information is being performed by SSC-LANT Code 58520, which aims to conduct objective comparative assessments and validations of commercial Data Recovery Hardware to determine if the solution meets the Governments requirements.
