- Description
- The Food and Drug Administration has a requirement to provide all labor materials, equipment, fuel and transportation necessary for the construction of a new potable water well system at the Jefferson Labs campus. The work to include: Drill Test Hole/Test Well in order to identify the depth and thickness of a suitable ground water formation for an 800 GPM water supply production well to be constructed at the test site. The test hole/test well is to be approximately 1000' with a 16" hole, 12" casing and 8" pump. Once a suitable ground water formation for an 800 GPM water supply has been located and the Arkansas Department of Health has given their permission to proceed with the construction of Well #1, the design engineer will provide the construction documents to construct Well #1. The Contract to include supplying electrical connections, control wiring, and installation of 10" C900 PVC from New Well #1 to existing water supply line from Well #14 with a gate valve installed to shut off supply from Well #14. This shall be completed in accordance with all state regulation (Arkansas Department of Health) and forthcoming construction documents. The contractor shall be licensed in the State of Arkansas. This procurement is issued as full and open competition. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 237110 and the Small Business Size Standard is $36.5 Million. The estimated period of performance is 240 calendar days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed. Award of contract is subject to availability of funds. The Magnitude of construction is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The resulting contract will be firm-fixed price. The anticipated release date of the RFP is on or about April 3, 2015. The solicitation, technical specifications and drawings will be posted to Federal Business Opportunity website when it is released. Pre-Proposal/Site Visit for interested vendors will be held on site in Jefferson Arkansas approximately 2 weeks after release of the RFP. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. Vendors are encouraged to sign up on the Interested Vendors List to receive automated notification from FBO when changes are made to the posting; however, contractors are responsible to monitor this website for further information concerning this procurement. No electronic proposals will be accepted.
