Description

The contractor shall support SP205 in revising OD 36763 Strategic Weapon System (SWS) and Attack Weapon System (AWS) Training System Development, Production, and Support Process with the objective to align SP205's process for development of fleet trainer products with SSP Instruction 1540.1 Fleet Training System Development and Sustainment. The contractor shall provide an update to the requirements for preparation of management and engineering technical data used during the development of Strategic Weapon System Training Systems Documentation Requirments. The contractor shall also support SP205 to document borders of responsibility relative to acceptable use of Training Facility Laboratories. The contractor shall provide an update to SSP Training Process Process document, OD 45260 Training System Development, with the objective to align SP205's process for Training System Development with SSP Instruction. Negotiations will be conducteed with Genearl Dynamics Advanced Informiaon Systems (GDAIS ), Pittsifeld, MA. GDAIS is the sole manufacturer of the TRIDENT (II) D5 Strategic Weapon system (SWS) Fire Control System and the only source with the in-depth knowledge, expertise, and in-place capability to perform the requried effort.
