Description

SYNOPSIS This project is located on the Grand Mesa, Uncompahgre and Gunnision (GMUG) National Forest at the Gunnison Ranger Station District Office located at 216 N. Colorado Avenue, Gunnison Colorado 81230. This project is Phase II for the Renovation of the District Office, which will be to the exterior of the building. Work for this project requires the contractor to be responsible for supplying all labor, materials, equipment, freight and delivery, and all necessary valid licenses and permits required to complete the exterior renovation at the Gunnison District Office. Work sill include (at a minimum) demolition and removal of exterior improvements, excavation and earthmoving, aggregate base for foundations, concrete for foundations, surfacr and sub-surfact drainage systems, electrical and grounding services, coordination with utility companies, new entry shelter, landscaping and irrigation systems. The elevation of the site is approximately 7,703 feet above sea level. The construction site experiences heavy snowfall and extremely cold temperatures, with snow on the ground typically from mid-October through May.
