Sources Sought NOTICE: Sources Sought/Request for Information (RFI) SOLICITATION #: F2F3085070A001 POSTING DATE: 24 March 2015 RESPONSE DATE: NLT 30 March 2015 2:00 p.m. CST NAICS Code: 334310 Audio and Video Equipment Manufacturing SB Size Standard: 750 This announcement constitutes a Sources Sought Synopsis (market survey). This is not a request for quote (RFQ) or a request for proposal (RFP). This announcement is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or award a contract. The Government will not pay for any cost incurred in responding to this announcement. Any information submitted by respondents to this Sources Sought synopsis shall be voluntary. This Sources Sought Notice is for Market Research purposes only. The information submitted in response to the Sources Sought Notice will not be utilized to determine vendor standing in any future/potential Request for Quote/Request for Proposal, nor will it be utilized to determine if a vendor is qualified to submit a Request for Quote/Request for Proposal for any future/potential requirement. The notice and the information received shall not be used to determine how well respondents can perform a requirement, which can only be evaluated in response to a solicitation. Vendors will not receive formal notification or feedback on any information submitted in this Sources Sought request. All future/proposed submissions/solicitations requirements solicited on a Government Point of Entry will be evaluated independent of any information submitted in response to this Sources Sought Notice. No vendor will be provided information on solicitations issued on a Government Point of Entry based on this Sources Sought request. This Sources Sought Notice is relative to the NAICS code 334310. The Small Business size standard for this NAICS code is 750. Large and Small Businesses are invited to answer this market survey to determine market capabilities. Hurlburt Field, FL, is conducting market research to determine the existence of potential sources to provide Bowling Center Audio/Lighting System. Response deadline: 2:00 p.m. CST, 30 March 2015 Where to send responses: Xavier.Rice@us.af.mil 850-884-3264 Other information: When and if released, the solicitation will be posted to the Federal Business Opportunities web site (www.fbo.gov) or GSA E-Buy (www.gsaadvantage.gov ) Statement of Work 1.0 Scope 1.1 The Contractor shall provide all labor, material, and equipment necessary to replace an Analogue Sound System with a Digital System with capabilities for future expansion at the Hurlburt Lanes Bowling Center located at 442 Cody Avenue, Bldg 90321. Below are a list of the big ticket products that shall be installed and or repaired (if in good condition and repairable). The list below in not all inclusive, the contractor is responsible for providing any miscellaneous hardware/software necessary to install the products listed below and meet the other requirements of this Statement of Work. The specific products identified are products the Government believes to be quality equipment with a 7 year life expectancy. 1.2 Sound. Fourteen (14) JBL Control 26CT (or equivalent) to be used for the main sound/paging. 1.3 Sound. Four (4) JBL Control 19 CST (or equivalent) to be used to increase base response. 1.4 Sound. One (1) JBL Control 28T-WT (or equivalent) to be used to re-enforce mids. 1.5 Sound. Two (2). Exterior weather speakers for deck area. 1.6 Sound. One (1) Crown DCI4/600 Amplifier (or equivalent) used to drive the music. 1.7 Sound. One (1) DBX 1261 Zone Pro (or equivalent) to be used to set zones within the center. 1.8 Sound. One (1) DBX ZC8 Zone Volume Control (or equivalent) to be used to set volume for zone. 1.9 Sound. One (1) AKG DMS Tetrad Wireless Handheld Microphone (or equivalent) used for paging from front desk. 1.10 Sound. AKG CGN Professional Paging Microphone with "press to talk feature" (or equivalent) used for paging from Snack Bar. 1.11 Lighting. Twelve (12) ADJ Inno Pocket Fusion (or equivalent) used throughout center. 1.12 Lighting. Twelve (12) ADJ UV COB Cannon (or equivalent) used throughout center. 1.13 Lighting. Four (4) Slimbank UV (or equivalent) used throughout center. 1.14 Lighting. Two (2) Chauvet 6 Spot (or equivalent)used throughout center. 1.15 Haze Machine. One (1) Magnum 2500 Haze Machine (or equivalent). 1.16 Pro Haze 2.5L Mini Jug to fit haze machine. 1.17 One (1) each. CD player and Reciever in the control area. 1.18 Professional well-built cabinet to house equipment behind the bowling service center. 2.0 Objective 2.1 As stated above, the objective of this contract is to replace an analogue sound system with a digital system with capabilities for future expansion. The current system is antiquated and requires replacement. The system shall be as compact as possible while allowing for some expansion as technology progesses. 2.2 The system is currently set up to be a paging system only and has been used to play music through using a CD player for the Glow Blowing. When upgrading this system, the contractor shall provide a system designed for music enjoyment that has a paging feature. 2.3 The paging requirement is for the Snack Bar in the Bowling Center. Guests will place an order in the snack bar and when the order is ready, the snack bar will use the paging system to let the customer know the order is ready. Thus, the paging system will need to be heard throughout the bowling center. 2.4 Overall, the sound system shall be geared toward music with a paging feature. 3.0 Requirements 3.1 Easily accessible inputs for I-pod and other equipment inputs should be made available. 3.2 All cabling shall be upgraded as the current cabling is very old. All work shall meet applicable local or state codes for installation and be in accordance with manufacturer's installation instructions and applicable portions of the National Electrical Code (current edition). 3.3 All controls for the system must be housed behind the bowling service counter to include light, sound and haze machine controls. As stated in paragraph 1, all equipment shall be housed in a professional well built cabinet used for professional and light systems. 3.4 All current equipment that cannot be used with the new system shall be left in place for turn-in to DRMO. 3.5 All equipment installation shall follow the manufacturer's installation specifications or instructions. 3.6 Any and all wiring shall be clearly labeled for ease of identification and adhere to applicable UL code. 3.7 The Contractor shall provide all engineering and programming necessary for the successful installation of the requested equipment. 3.8 Any holes drilled in walls for wiring/conduit or other items shall be sealed around the hole with caulk, foam, or silicone. 3.9 The Contractor shall provide access/control codes needed for future work on equipment/system, if applicable. 3.10 All work shall be accomplished during pre-arranged hours which may include regular business hours (Monday - Friday, 0730 - 1600) or outside of these hours when the bowling center is closed. Scheduling shall be verified with bowling management at all times. The Government requires the installation to go as smoothly as possible with minimal interruption of guest using the bowling center.
