Description
The purpose of this amendment is to answer questions asked by interested vendors. Below are the questions that were asked and their corresponding answers. All other terms and conditions remain unchaged. 1.Is the equipment fully functional in accordance with OEM specifications? The instrument in question was last serviced in Jan. 2015 at which time a full PM (to OEM specifications) was performed. 2.What is the age of the equipment or date of when it was purchased? Instrument was installed in March 2011 (four years ago). 3.Are there any known issues with the system that we should be aware of? No known issues. 4.What are the sub components of this AB Sciex MS? It's a single unit; all the components are in a single housing. Some of major components inside the housing: a TurboV ion source with venturi exhaust pump, quadrupole Q0 for beam focusing, quadrupole Q1 for initial mass selection, Q2 which functions as a collision cell, Q3 which is a combination quadrupole/linear ion trap for secondary and higher mass selection, an ion detector, two turbo pumps, and an oil vacuum pump (the one component located outside the single housing) which has been covered by the warranty and previous service contracts even though it looks like a separate piece of equipment. All these components (except the vacuum pump) are integrated and controlled by electronics. There are also various power supplies (both DC and AC) for putting voltages on the components of the beamline (ion source, quadrupoles, linear ion trap, & detector. There is a computer which runs the software that controls the mass spectrometer and collects the data. All these components MUST be covered by the service contract. We have separate service contracts on the High Pressure Liquid Chromatography system and the nitrogen and dry air generator which are support devices for the mass spectrometer. 5.Is this instrument covered currently under a service agreement? If so, could you please provide the incumbent contractor and contract number for this opportunity? Yes, the incumbent is Full Spectrum Analytics, on contract HU0001-14-M-0104, with a contract value of $25,500.00. 6.Did this agreement include 2 PMs on the previous agreement? Yes 7.You are requesting a cover sheet for the quote with the following information (Company Name, Point of Contact, DUNS Number & Statement that includes the acknowledgement of latest amendment number). Based on the scope of the solicitation there are multiple documents to submit for review do you require a cover sheet per submitted document? No one cover sheet with this information is acceptable. Can the body of the email be the cover sheet for all attachments if not can one document be a cover sheet for all documents as long as I include all the document names in that cover sheet? No, one document be a cover sheet for all documents as long as I include all the document names in that cover sheet. Also I could not identify exactly which amendment number you are referring too. Is it Safe to assume because there is no amendment there are no numbers and in consequence the solicitation number is the accurate number? After these questions are answered, that would make this amendment number 1.
