Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Philadelphia District, intends to initiate a commercial item procurement (FAR part 12), firm fixed price contract, to inspect and recondition two controllable pitch propulsion system tailshafts for the Dredge McFarland. Delivery (Period of Performance) of the tailshaft inspection and repair is no later than 150 days after receipt of the tailshafts from USACE. Contractors are encouraged to inspect the bearings to ensure they are capable of meeting the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers expectations. Drawings will be made available in the actual solicitation notice. A site visit is encouraged and can be arranged by coordinating with Mr. Mark Saylor via email at mark.a.saylor@usace.army.mil or by calling 215-656-6744. The award will be made as a whole to one offeror. Solicitation # W912BU-15-T-0023 will be available on or about 27 March 2015 via the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) homepage located at https://www.fbo.gov. No written or fax requests will be accepted. It is the contractor's responsibility to monitor FBO for any amendments. Offers will be due on 24 April 2015 at 4:00 p.m. EST and can be e-mailed directly to bruce.e.hayes@usace.army.mil. Affirmative action to ensure equal employment opportunity is applicable to the resulting contract. All contractors are required to be registered in the DOD System for Award Management (SAM) by award.
