Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Japan Engineer District (JED) is performing a market survey for Repair Towers 867 and 868 (136 units) at Camp Kinser, Okinawa, Japan. This announcement constitutes a market survey that is being conducted for planning purposes only and the information received will assist the Government in developing an acquisition method for this project. This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government for any follow-on announcements, solicitation, or award. Pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10, Market Research, the purpose of this notice is to identify sources capable of satisfying the Government's requirement. This survey seeks qualified and capable contractors to submit responses to this notice in order to adequately plan the acquisition. If your company would like to be considered as a potential source for this work, please submit a response adhering to the below submission requirements. PROJECT DESCRIPTION Project Title: Repair Towers 867 and 868 (136 units) at Camp Kinser, Okinawa, Japan Japan Project Location: Camp Kinser, Okinawa, Japan North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 236220 Project price magnitude is between 1,000,000,000 YEN and 2,500,000,000 YEN (utilizing a 100 YEN to 1 U.S. dollar rate) Provide all management, tools, design, supplies, equipment, transportation, labor and services necessary to repair Common Areas and 136 units at Camp Kinser, Towers 867 and 868. Common area (to include hallways and stairwells) work to include but not limited to replacement of flooring, light fixtures, paint, ceilings, cabinets, bathrooms (water closet, sinks, partitions), door (interior and exterior), windows. Unit work (136 Units) to include but not limited to replacement of ceilings, flooring, windows, doors, paint, light fixtures, hard wired smoke alarms. Contractor to repair existing fire sprinkler system in Towers 867 and 868 and provide complete coverage inside each individual unit. Kitchen work includes but is not limited to replacement of countertops, paint, range hood, base cabinets, GFCI outlets, wall cabinets, sink and sink drain system, flooring, wall tiles, GFCI, lighting fixtures, doors and any other associated work. Bathroom work includes but not limited to replacement of sink, bathtub, tile, lighting, ceiling, toilet, GFCI receptacles, exhaust fan, fixtures, flooring, piping and any other associated work. Minisplit and electric water heater work includes necessary electrical upgrades to meet the current code and to ensure that all electrical systems are capable of supporting the installation of mini-split and electric water heater systems, cooling/dehumidifier system for common areas and hallways. In addition remediation testing/abatement of mold, asbestos and lead and all other related work to provide complete and usable facilities. This market survey is intended for local sources only. Local sources are those sources physically located and licensed to conduct business in Japan. Firms interested and capable of performing this work are highly encouraged to submit a response. SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR RESPONSES TO THIS MARKET SURVEY (1) Name of your company, address, phone number, email, and point of contact. (2) A statement of intent from your company, that should this project be formally solicited, you will submit a price proposal. (3) Letter from your insurance (surety) company stating that your firm has adequate bonding capacity within the project magnitude of 1,000,000,000 YEN and 2,500,000,000 YEN (utilizing a 100 YEN to 1 U.S. dollar rate) (4) Statement of capability from your company, identifying applicable skills, experience, knowledge, past performance, and equipment required to perform this project. Limit this statement of capability to no more than five (5) pages in length. The type of solicitation issued and the manner of advertisement may depend on the responses to this market survey. If you do not intend on submitting a proposal for this work if it is formally advertised, please do not submit a response to this market survey.
