- Description
- Payment Bond form Performance Bond form SF-33 Statement of Work - Project Specifications Cover Letter The International Boundary Commission, United States and Canada (IBC), is mandated by treaty to maintain an effective boundary line between the two countries. This is accomplished, in part, by keeping a 20-foot wide strip (vista), 10 feet in each country, clear of trees, brush and other obstructions and the boundary monuments in good repair. This is a vista-cutting project located along a rugged, remote segment of the Washington/British Columbia boundary. A majority of the project abuts the Pasayten Wilderness Area, Manning Provincial Park and Cathedral Provincial Park. Some sections of this project are very difficult to access and will require helicopter support. The project generally follows the 49th Parallel between longitudes 121° 03' 50" and 119° 40' 16". The project is specifically identified as being from the eastern shore of Ross Lake, 600 feet west of International Boundary Monument 72 proceeding east to International Boundary Monument 111A. Contractor shall clear 63.4 miles of the International Boundary Line vista between the United States (Washington) and Canada (British Columbia). Note that the distance given is a horizontal distance and does not take into account peaks and valleys. The 42 International Boundary Monuments located along this section of boundary shall be inspected, cleaned, painted and photographed. The work shall be accomplished with chain saws and related hand tools. The Contractor is expected to accomplish the work in an orderly fashion, progressing from one end to the other, unless circumstances beyond Contractor's control dictate otherwise.
