Description

The John D. Dingell VA Medical Center (JDDVAMC), 4646 John R, Detroit, MI. 48201 intends to solicit from only one source, General Electric Company (GE), 3000 N. Grandview Blvd, W443, Waukesha WI 53188, to establish a contract for a software upgrade for a GE MRI machine located at the JDDVAMC. The basis for this proposed sole source procurement is that the software update requires proprietary information only available from the machine's manufacturer, GE, and that the government would realize no cost savings by competitively purchasing a new MRI machine. This is not a request for quotes however; all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which will be reviewed by the agency. The government will not be responsible for any costs incurred in preparing a response to this notice. Comments regarding this proposed procurement may be directed to Contracting Officer Gregory Stevens at gregory.stevens@va.gov no later than April 6, 2015 at 4 pm EDT.
