- This is a sources sought notice (SSN) as defined in FAR 15.201(e). This is not a solicitation. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 16, Overton Brooks VA Medical Center in Shreveport, Louisiana has a requirement for a complete Digital Motorola or equivalent platform Radio System with 3 repeaters permitting redundancies in system functionality. This is a Sources Sought Notice for information and planning purposes and shall not be construed as an obligation on the part of the Department of Veterans Affairs. The purpose of this sources sought is for market research, which is to identify qualified businesses, including Service-Disabled Veteran-owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Veteran-owned Small Business (VOSB), Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB), Women-owned Small Business (WOSB), Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUB Zone) Small Business, 8(a) Small Business, and small business concerns that are interested in and capable of providing the items listed herein. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 334220 and the corresponding size standard is 500 Employees. Your response to this sources sought will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method. The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking potential contractors who have the skills, experience, knowledge, and capabilities required to provide Motorola MOTOTRBO or EQUAL two-way radio system for the Overton Brooks VA Medical Center to include but not limited to: REQUIREMENT: The Contractor shall furnish all necessary parts, labor, materials, equipment and transportation for one (1) complete Digital Radio System, which will be used to provide routine, daily communications for employees in Engineering, Environmental Management, and Police Services. In addition, the system will be utilized to provide communications throughout the facility under emergency situations or outages of normal communications systems.
