Description
NASA/GSFC has a requirement for Mecury Cadmium Telluride Avalanche Photodiode Sensor Chip Assembly. Deliverables: 1. 4x4 pixels HgCdTe e-APD SCA, one each 2. Driver electronics (LACEE) with cables, one set 3. Dewar digital control circuit and the analog output buffer circuit, one set 4. Cold filter and Dewar window, one set 5. Test report and the LACEE board driver software, one each NASA/GSFC intends to purchase the items from DRS Network and Imaging TechnologiesInc. pursuant to FAR 13.106 for the acquisition of supplies or services determined to be reasonably available from one source. The Mecury Cadmium Telluride (HgCdTe) electron-Avalanche Photodiode (e-APD) Sensor Chip Assembly (SCA) and the driver electronics will be used as direct replacement to the existing system previously developed by DRS Network and Imaging Technologies and full compatibility is essential. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on April 14, 2015. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.
