Description
The National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) is planning to issue an RFP for an Indefinite/Delivery, Indefinite/Quantity (IDIQ) Task Order contract for Clinical Research Support Services. This will be a full and open competition IDIQ Task Order contract with a ten year ordering period. The intended procurement is classified under NAICS code 541712 with a Size Standard of 500 employees. THIS IS A SYNOPSIS. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION. This acquisition is for a follow-on requirement to contracts HHSN273201400014C and HHSN291200555553C and will operate under an Indefinite/Delivery, Indefinite/Quantity (IDIQ) Task Order contract. The objectives of this acquisition are to provide medical, diagnostic, therapeutic, scientific, technical, data management, managerial, clerical, and statistical support to the NIEHS. The Contractor shall assist the Government by identifying and enrolling subjects, and administering, managing, and conducting clinical studies designed by the Government. The Contractor shall provide technical expertise and health care staff to the NIEHS Clinical Research Unit (CRU) in support of clinical studies conducted in that facility. The Contractor shall also provide technical expertise and staff members to the Environmental Autoimmunity Group (EAG) in support of its clinical studies. The EAG is stationed at the National Institutes of Health Clinical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. The Contractor shall also provide field research support to the NIEHS in response to natural or man-made environmental disasters, or community outreach research. Thus, the Contractor must have the ability to begin work at a short notice, the logistical ability to implement NIEHS research on a national scale, and the expertise to perform large-scale field research as well as in-house clinical research. The RFP will be made available electronically only via the FedBizOpps website (http://www.fbo.gov) on or about April 15, 2015. Offerors are responsible for routinely checking the FedBizOpps website for any possible solicitation amendments that may be issued. This notice does not commit the Government to award a contract. No collect calls will be accepted. No facsimile transmissions will be accepted. It is the Offerors' responsibility to monitor FedBizOpps at www.fbo.gov for the release of the solicitation and any amendments.
