- This procurement was solicited and selected under NASA Headquarter (HQ) Space Technology Mission Directorate (STMD) NASA Research Announcement (NRA) number NNH14ZOA001N entitled Space Technology Research, Development, Demonstration, and Infusion 2014 (SpaceTech-REDDI-2014) issued on November 1, 2013 and revised April 9, 2014. The objective of this Phase I procurement is to design and build an advanced oxygen recovery technology that is based on an ambient temperature and pressure microfluidic electrochemical reactor, which combines carbon dioxide reduction and oxygen generation to recover > 75% of the oxygen from metabolically-produced carbon dioxide and to deliver hardware that has been demonstrated to a technology readiness level of 4.
