Description

THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. This is not a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, bids, or quotations. The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of all qualified sources to perform a potential requirement. Responses to the information requested will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method. The Great Lakes Acquisition Center is planning to solicit for a vendor to provide Academic Detailing Basic Skills Training Workshop and Training for Edward J. Hines Jr. VA Hospital located in Hines IL. The Great Lakes Acquisition Center is conducting a market survey to determine the existence of potential small business concerns (e.g., HUBZone, 8(a), SDVOSB, Woman Owned, etc.) with the capability to fulfill this acquisition. Contractor must be able to meet all requirements of the Statement of Work. Interested parties shall provide a brief overview of their firm's capabilities and past experience with projects similar in scope to this project. Capability statements shall include: Copy of training certificates for each individual assigned to provide services. All information shall be submitted in Word or PDF format, not to exceed 10 pages, including all attachments. Each submittal shall also include the following business information: a.DUNS number b.Organization Name c.Organization Address d.Point of Contact (including name, title, addresses, telephone number, fax number and Email address) e.Business size f.Socio-economic status ( IF SDVOSB or VOSB - provide SDVOSB or VOSB CVE verification) Firms shall identify whether or not they are a small business or other than small business in accordance with the size standard for NAICS code 611430. If another NAICS code may be applicable, please identify the NAICS in your capability statement. All information must be received no later than: April 20, 2015, 2:00 PM, CST. Therefore, we recommend that you monitor the FedBizOpps site for all information relevant to desired acquisitions. STATEMENT OF WORK Academic Detailing Basic Skills Training Workshop and Training 1. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES. -The contractor shall provide all resources necessary to accomplish the deliverables described in the statement of work (SOW), except as may otherwise be specified. -The contractor shall possess superior knowledge in academic detailing, use of social marketing and motivational interviewing techniques. -The contractor will incorporate didactic education and simulation and/or role playing exercises in the training. Group exercises will be designed to explore communication styles and hone communication skills needed to provide effective academic detailing interventions. -The contractor shall use the principles of social marketing to help participants gain a thorough understanding of both the academic detailing process and the strategies needed to improve quality of care. -The contractor shall train VA clinicians to implement and support an academic detailing program at their facility (facilities). -The contractor shall provide skills-based academic detailing training in several day-long workshops to train academic detailers on the clinical content for each topic area, in addition to training on the basic techniques of academic detailing. -The contractor will provide consultation regarding identification and optimization of strategies for Academic Detailing program implementation. Strategic topics may include guidance on identifying academic detailers, identification of clinicians in need of academic detailing services, establishing collaborations with local stakeholders, establishing and applying best practices within the intervention of academic detailing for VA.
