Document Type: Special Notice Solicitation Number: W912PM-15-T-0021 Classification Code: 30 - Mechanical Power Transmission Equipment NAICS Code: 333612 - Speed Changer, Industrial High-Speed Drive, and Gear Manufacturing Business Size Standard: 500 Employees Contracting Office Address U.S. Army Corps of Engineers 69 Darlington Ave Wilmington NC 28405 Description Procurement of Lower Unit Outdrive Gears for Dredge Murden - ZF Marine OEM Lower Gearbox Type 400 - Part #080312166SR 01 - Qty: 2 Each. This acquisition will be processed in accordance with simplified acquisition procedures and under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). The North American Industry Classification System code is 333612. Only one award will be made as a result of this solicitation. The contract will be awarded as a firm fixed price type contract. Period of Performance: Products shall be delivered NLT 6 weeks from contract award date. SOLE SOURCE: ZF Marine Propulsion Systems Miramar, LLC designed and built the ZF Lower Unit Outdrive Gears that are currently in use aboard the Dredge quote mark Murden quote mark. ZF Marine Propulsion Systems Miramar is the only known source with the capability to provide the replacement parts required since they are the manufacturer and designer of these gears. This is not a solicitation for competitive quotations. However, if any interested party believes they can meet the above requirement, they may submit a statement of capabilities. All information furnished must be in writing and must contain sufficient detail to allow the USACE (Contracting) Wilmington District to determine if it can meet the above unique specifications described herein. Any capability statements must be received in the Contracting Office of Acquisitions on or before 11:30 AM EDT on April 13, 2015 through email. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. In order to receive an award, contractors must have valid registration and certification in the System Award Management (SAM) https://www.sam.gov and the Federal Award Performance and Integrity Information System (FAPIIS). All questions must be received in writing and emailed to Danielle Dinger, Contracting Officer at danielle.dinger@usace.army.mil.
