- USAID 8 th Annual Small Business Conference FBO Posting Registration Opens April 13, 2015 The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), will host its 8 th Annual Small Business Conference on Thursday, May 21, 2015, 9:00 am - 4:00 pm. The event will be held at the Ronald Reagan Building, International Trade Center, Pavilion Room, 1300 Pennsylvania Avenue, N.W., Washington, D.C. 20004. This year's theme is " U.S. Small Businesses: Building and Expanding on our Successes". This event is open to small businesses representatives only. The OSDBU serves as advocates for small businesses by providing guidance, education and support to internal and external stakeholders to maximize opportunity while maintaining accountability. The event will include: • Welcoming remarks from local dignitaries and representatives from USAID; • Information about federal government contracting; • Matchmaking and counseling; and • Networking with USAID prime contractors. The conference is designed to provide small business representatives an opportunity to learn about how to conduct business with USAID; and network with USAID leadership and contracting officials. We are expecting over 200 attendees from the small business community, Federal organizations and prime contractors. There is no cost to attend, but all attendees must be registered for attendance. Registration Process: Attendance is limited to one (1) representative per company. The registration is a two-phase process. COMPLETION OF REGISTRATION DOES NOT GUARANTEE ADMITTANCE TO THE CONFERENCE. • During the first phase you will be notified within five (5) business days of registration of your acceptance status. This email notification confirms receipt and acceptance of your registration. • During the second phase of the registration you will be asked to select matchmaking appointments and seat assignment for the Lunch with the Leaders segment. Please access the registration link for additional information, agenda, speakers, location/directions and related announcements. Pre-registration is required and limited. Online registration will close on May 14, 2015. If you register and cannot attend, please cancel your registration as soon as possible so that someone else may participate. S mall business representative who are interested in pursuing government contracts with USAID or who have initiated the process, but have not yet been successful should attend this event. Why should I attend? During the program portion of the event small business representatives will receive useful information on the government contracting process directly from government representatives. You will also have the opportunity to register for matchmaking/counseling appointments with USAID representatives, large prime contractors and other government agencies with similar missions.
