Description

This is PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE - The US Department of Veteran Affairs Medical Center, Minneapolis, MN, hereinafter referred to as MVAHCS located at One Veterans Drive, Minneapolis, MN 55417. The NAICS code assigned to this procurement will be 621999 with a size standard of $14 million. The VA will award a firm, fixed price IDIQ, commercial services contract. Contract use will be limited to Minneapolis VA Health Care System only. The solicitation will contain requirements for a 12 - month base year with four (4) 12 - month option to renew. Service will begin August 1, 2015 through July 31, 2016 for the base year. The solicitation is scheduled to be issued on or about May 4, 2015 and will be issued via FedBizOpps Electronic Posting System at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. The Minneapolis VA Health Care System (MVAHCS), One Veterans Drive, Minneapolis, MN 55417, requires the rental services of a turn-key mobile lithotripter unit along with a certified ESWL system technician to manage the equipment and provide extracorporeal shockwave lithotripsy services for and at the MVAHCS. The contractor shall provide all materials, equipment and services required per this statement of work. The contractor will only provide the equipment and technician component for the procedure. The professional component of the procedure will be performed by VA staff. The MVAHCS will furnish required electrical service and adequate interior space for the procedure in an operating room or cystoscopy suite. VA will also provide the Urologist's services, nursing staff, and anesthesia personnel. MVAHCS will complete all pre-ESWL patient evaluations, obtain pre-operative patient written consent, provide medical staff during ESWL procedure, and follow-up post-ESWL treatment. The VA will be responsible for the collection and disposal of infectious waste and sharps related to the procedure. Services required include but are not limited to: "Contractor must be able to consistently provide an FDA approved turn-key transportable lithotripter system and certified ESWL Technician for each ESWL procedure required by the Minneapolis VAHCS. Deliverables for this service include: "Extracorporeal Shock Wave Lithotripsy Unit "Treatment Table "X-ray C-arm "ESWL Workstation and Display Monitors "Services of a licensed radiologic technician/technologists trained in ESWL "Any ancillary ESWL equipment/materials necessary for the procedure Questions regarding this solicitation must be in writing.
