- The U.S. Government Publishing Office (GPO) intends to award a sole source contract for Foil, Gold, 108.5mm, 1 inch core, and 500 meters in length to KURZ Transfer Products, L.P. 3200 Woodpark Blvd. Charlotte <NC 28206 (704) 927-3776. KURZ has created the foil to specific U.S. metallurigal standards and specifications in support of U.S. Government passport identification. KURZ shall perform continuous follow-on supply of these services due to strict quality control and specification. Under the authority of USC 2304(c)(1) pursuant to MMAR 6.302.1(a)(1)(ii)(A), "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements", for this highly specialized material. When it is likely to award to any other source would result in substantial duplication of cost in quality control that is not expected to be recovered through competition. this notice is neither a request for proposals nor a solicitation for offers. a determination by the government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based on responses to this notice is soley within the discretion of the government. All responses shall be sent to James Sisson, Acquisition Analyst, contractor-CACI, at jsisson@gpo.gov on or before April 15, 2015, no later than 12:00 noon, DST.
