Description

The Government intends to award a sole source purchase order to SirsiDynix Corporation in accordance with FAR 6.302-1(a)(2), When the supplies or services required by the agency are available from only one responsible source, or, for DoD, NASA, and the Coast Guard, from only one or a limited number of responsible sources, and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, full and open competition need not be provided for. SirsiDynix Corporation will provide maintenance, enhancement, upgrades and support services for Army Research Institute (ARI). This will provide ARI with software capable of supporting the organization's current and future qualitative research efforts. SirsiDynix Corporation is the only developer, publisher and sole source provider of SirsiDynix Unicorn integrated library system (ILS). Through market research, no other contractors were identified that can provide all of the same needs a software product with service and information with the same level of detail and scope required. Any responsible sources offering the same software needs with services and information with the same level of detail and scope required may submit a response which, if received prior to award, will be considered.
