Description
The government intends to award a contract to Getinge USA, Inc for the period of five years (base year plus four 1 year options) to acquire preventative maintenance contract for the CAS 30AS Boiler and Model 122 Sterilizer in the federal facility located in 646 Cajundome Boulevard, Lafayette, LA 70506. This contract would allow for quarterly preventative maintenance inspections, calibration of the boiler and sterilizer, and repairs if equipment breaks between preventative maintenance visits. This would include all labor for inspection, adjustment, lubrication and installation of replacement parts and testing during scheduled maintenance. Includes all required replacement parts necessary to maintain the equipment operating to the equipment specifications of the manufacturer. This is a specialized piece of laboratory equipment that operates under very high temperatures and pressure. It is critical to the research carried out at the NOAA Estuarine Habitat & Coastal Fisheries Center (EHCFC) and must be maintained at the highest standards of sterilization. Getinge is the manufacturer of this piece of equipment which includes the electronic components and several mechanical components are designed, manufactured and sold only by Getinge. These OEM specific parts are only available through Getinge to 'owner-users' of the Getinge/Castle equipment. The microcomputer Control Systems require special instrumentation (RTD Boxes and Proprietary Computer Programs) for calibration that is designed at Getinge specifically for Getinge controls. Only their factory service technicians are trained and certified to use these test devices. In addition, the instrument has Getinge passwords for getting into calibration and service menus, accessing error codes, etc. Getinge has the technical expertise for service and repair on this specialized scientific equipment. Getinge is the only known source at this time with the knowledge and specialized experience needed to accomplish the requirement. Firms, who believe they can provide this service, must furnish detailed information to include a capabilities statement, proof of factory service technicians trained and certified to use these test devices. In addition, access to Getinge passwords for getting into calibration and service menus, accessing error codes, etc. Interested parties must respond within (5) five calendar days after publication of this notice. If no affirmative responses are received, the government intends to issue a purchase order to Getinge. The Eastern Administrative Division (EAD) requires that all contractors doing business with the Acquisition Office must be registered with the Systems for Awards Management (SAM). No award can be made unless the vendor is registered in SAM. For additional information and to register in SAM please access the following website: http://www.sam.gov/. In order to register with the SAM offerors must have a Dun & Bradstreet Number. A Dun & Bradstreet number may be acquired free of charge by contacting Dun & Bradstreet on-line at https://www.dnb.com/product/eupdate/requestOptions.html or by phone at (800) 333-0505. The government encourages all contractors submit their Certification and Representation thru the on-line SAM. The SAM is the single source for vendor data for the federal government. Contractors should go on-line at www.sam.gov. Faxed responses can be sent to 757-664-3845, Attn: Sharon Walker or emailed to Sharon.walker@noaa.gov.
