Description
The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to procure a ship-set of DDG 1000 Zumwalt Class Destroyer Program Fixed Pitch Propeller Assemblies (one left-hand and one right-hand) in compliance with Bath Iron Works (BIW) Purchase Specification 03017-01, BIW Cat No. 98966013 and 98966005 from Rolls-Royce Marine North America, 110 Norfolk Street, Walpole, MA 02081-1704. The Propellers shall be compliant with NAVSEA DWG 245-7651126 REVISION C DDG 1000 PROPELLER ASSEMBLY. The propeller assembly consists of the propeller, propeller fairwater cap, gland ring, gland ring studs and nuts, propeller fairwater cap studs and nuts, forward end plugs, side body plugs, fill and vent plugs, propeller fairwater cap cover plates, propeller fairwater cap attachment hardware and eyebolts. To ensure configuration compatibility with the DDG 1000 Class, the hardware to be procured must be compatible with the existing DDG 1000 propellers. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, within thirty days (30) after date of publication of this synopsis. Any submissions will not be reimbursed by the Government - the entire cost of any submission will be at the sole expense of the source submitting the information. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No solicitation is available.
