Justification & Approval for limiting sources under FAR 8.405-6(C) Limiting Sources BACKGROUND: The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) requires off-site storage and servicing of records and documents on behalf of its Headquarters facility, located at 888 First Street, NE, Washington DC 20426. Records and documents are on a variety of media including, but not limited to: • Paper, including oversized materials, such as maps and exhibits • Microform, including fiche, rolls and aperture cards • Electronic media, including CDs, DVDs and flash drives Services include: • Initial transfer to storage • Reference • Retrieval • Records maintenance including boxing/reboxing, barcoding, storage • Database of inventory • Disposition services including permanent withdrawal or secure disposal/destruction services • Transportation including initial pickup from agency, return to agency (retrieval), and return to records storage facility • Transition • Account Representation
