Description

This is a public synopsis of a forthcoming solicitation in accordance with FAR 36.213-2. This is NOT a solicitation, and NO solicitation documents are currently publically available. Description of Proposed work: Contractor shall furnish all labor and materials to perform construction for Project 598-13-107, Improve Outpatient Specialty Clinic/ Support Ares at the John L. McClellan Memorial Veterans Hospital in accordance with project plans and specifications. The contractor shall understand that this project is at an actively working VA medical Center, careful scheduling and coordination of work is required so as to have minimal impact on the day to day operations of the hospital. In general, the scope includes all architectural, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection work to complete the following under NAICS code 236220: Renovation of approximately 48,000 sf of the first floor that contains a majority of the outpatient specialty clinic areas. Spaces will be repurposed to allow for the expansion of clinics; centralization of reception, waiting areas, and check-in operations; improvement to points of entry and Central Business office areas; improvement of control and Security areas, Women's Health Clinic Unit and Diagnostic spaces. Successful bidder shall hold or obtain any and all necessary licenses or permits required to perform this work in the State of Arkansas. Estimated Price Range: Between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. Location of the work: John L. McClellan Memorial Veterans Hospital 4300 West 7th Street, Little Rock AR 72205-5484. Tentative dates: ***All dates are estimates. Actual dates will be listed in the Invitation for Bid. *** Issuance of invitation for bid: on or about April 24, 2015 Organized Site Visit/ Walk Through: on or about April 30, 2015 Bid Opening: on or about June 2, 2015 Contract Period of Performance: 540 calendar days after issuance of notice to proceed Plans, drawings, and specifications as applicable will be made available electronically via FedBizOpps at the time the invitation to bid is posted. Award is restricted 100% for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business. Bidders must be registered and certified online with http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov and must be registered at http://www.sam.gov in accordance with 38 CFR Part 74 and VAAR 819.70 to be eligible for award.
