Description
DO NOT CONTACT POSTER - L. NEWHOUSE. FOR ANY INFORMATION CONTACT: Stanley Chan, Electronics Engineer, (443) 395-6233 This is a market survey to locate additional sources for NSN 5985-01-455-9286, Part Number CTM15/LFH230KIT, AN/VRC-100 Antenna Group (HF Fanlite Antenna). HF Fanlite Antenna is a lightweight, transportable HF wire antenna intended primarily for omnidirectional skywave communications to a range of about 2,000 miles. HF Fanlite Antenna is a component of AN/GRC-240(V) and AN/TSW-7A. When the AN/GRC-240(V) operates in a plain text HF communication net, the AN/VRC-100(V)1 operates as a transmitter and a receiver. During receive operations, the RF signals are picked up by the HF Fanlite antenna and supplied via the antenna cable to the PA coupler AM-7531/URC, then to receiver-transmitter RT-1749/URC unit. The RT processes the RF signal into an audio signal. The audio signal is routed through the KY-100 to the handset in crypto mode. In plain text mode, the audio signal is routed to both the handset and the speaker. During a transmit operation, the handset audio signal input to the RT is modulated and routed to the PA coupler unit. The high (175 W), medium (50 W), or low (10 W) signal power levels are selected and routed via the antenna cable to the HF Fanlite antenna. The antenna radiates the USB, LSB, AM, and CW RF output signal to the distant receiving station. The current source of this item is C&S Antennas, Inc. (CAGE Code 1BZ19). This item is only defined by C&S Antennas, Inc. part number and National Stock Number. Detail technical data such as engineering drawings, specification, and acceptance test procedure for the manufacture and acceptance of this item, is NOT AVAILABLE from the Army. Interested sources are capable of furnishing this item must send a response describing in detail their ability meeting the Government requirements. Response shall be submitting in writing through email to U.S. ARMY CECOM, ATTN: RDER-PRC-TR (Stanley Chan) at Stanley.U.Chan.civ@mail.mil or Stanley.U.Chan@us.army.mil. The response MUST include documentation, such as test results, test procedures for this item to demonstrate the interested sources' capability of supplying this item, and copy of purchasing order if the supplier was a vendor to the listed source or a statement from listed source demonstrating that the supplier can, in fact, supply the Army with a unit that will be physically and functionally interchangeable and interoperable with the existing HF Fanlite Antenna in the field. Successful supplier may be required to warrant that the item supplied will satisfactorily perform when used for the purpose intended by the Army and it will be delivered on time. Pertinent information received from this market survey will be evaluated by the Government technical personnel for the purpose of planning.
