- This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE / REQUEST FOR INFORMATION; not a pre-solicitation notice or solicitation for proposals/quotations. Pursuant to FAR Part 10 (Market Research), the purpose of this notice is to: (1) determine if sources capable of satisfying the agency's requirements exists, (2) determine if commercial items suitable to meet the agency's needs are available or could be modified to meet the agency's requirements, and (3) determine the commercial practices of company's engaged in providing the needed service or supply. Pursuant to FAR Part 6 and FAR Part 19, competition and set-aside decisions may be based on the results of this market research. This notice in no way obligates the Government to any further action. The VA is looking to award a contract for tile and grout restoration in several areas of the Brockton and West Roxbury VAMC's.. All interested vendors shall please respond back with a capability statement. This information will be used to develop potential small business set-aside criteria and the types(s) of contracting vehicles that will be awarded to complete these services. Requirement: This notice is issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs, Boston VA Healthcare System, Brockton, VAMC to identify sources capable of providing the following: GENERAL INFORMATION 1.Title of Project: Complete tile and grout restoration of multiple areas within the Brockton and West Roxbury VAMC's. 2.Scope of Work: Service is to provide tile and grout restoration for bathrooms and other tiled areas throughout the Brockton and West Roxbury campuses. Vendor is to provide appropriate supervision, labor and all materials necessary to complete this service. The areas identified will need to have all ceramic tiles and grout cleaned and restored. Vendor will carefully wrap all sink tops, mirrors, and partitions to protect from being damaged while the service is being performed. Vendor will scrub, decontaminate, and extract all embedded contaminates, body oils, soap residue and mold. Neutralize all floor surfaces while continuously measuring PH levels. All surfaces shall be scrubbed and extracted and a bond and epoxy grout sealant shall be laid down. Service is not simply a cleaning service, but rather a restoration and decontamination to restore tiled areas to their original appearance. Payment will be issued once all work is completed and inspected. Period of performance is flexible, but would like to be completed in the most time efficient manner possible. C. SCHEDULE OF DELIVERABLES 1.The contractor's detailed work plan dates will serve as the schedule of delivery for each deliverable specified. Anticipated NAICS Code/Size Standard: The applicable NAICS Code is 561790, Other Services to Buildings and Dwellings and the size standard is $7.5 million. Submission of Information: Companies having capabilities necessary to meet or exceed the stated requirements are invited to provide information to contribute to this market survey/sources sought notice including commercial market information and company information.
