- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION W91ZLK-15-R-0018 Orbitrap Fusion ETD Mass Spectrometer System BRAND NAME OR EQUAL This combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 05-79. The solicitation number for this request for proposal (RFP) is W91ZLK-15-R-0018. This requirement is under the associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 334516, Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing Business Size Standard in number of employees is 500. The Government contemplates award of a Firm-Fixed Price contract under FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. This procurement will be evaluated as lowest price technically acceptable, for the procurement of the following brand name or equal: Orbitrap Fusion ETD Mass Spectrometer System Specifications: ITEM 0001 Orbitrap Fusion ETD Mass Spectrometer System Specifications: BRAND NAME OR EQUAL TO the ORBITRAP FUSION ETD MASS SPECTROMETER SYSTEM SYSTEM ORBITRAP FUSION ETD ORGINAL EQUIPMENT MANUFACTURE (OEM): Thermo Scientific Orbitrap Fusion ETD (FSN01-10002, SYSTEM, ORBITRAP, FUSION, ETD) mass spectrometer combines quadrupole, linear ion trap, and Orbitrapmass analyzers and features multiple fragmentation techniques-CID, HCD, ETD and EThCD - all available at any stage of MSn, with subsequent mass analysis in either the ion trap or Orbitrap mass analyzer. Every Orbitrap spectrum can be calibrated in real time with the EASY-IC Ion Source. The instrument contains the following: EASY-Max NG ion source API inlet source housing with x- and y-direction probe positioning and a fixed on-axis view port. All gas and voltage connections are hard connected automatically, enabling worry-free performance and ultimate reliability. The EASY-Max NG ion source includes one HESI spray insert. EASY-Max NG ion source with APCI includes both HESI and APCI spray inserts. EASY-IC Ion Source generates internal calibrant ions for real time mass calibration of any Orbitrap spectrum. Vacuum system containing a split-flow turbo molecular pump, which controls the vacuum in multiple regions. Progressively spaced stacked-ring ion guide (S-Lens), which captures and efficiently focuses ions in a tight beam. The Active Beam Guide reduces noise by preventing neutrals and high-velocity clusters from entering the quadrupole mass filter. Quadrupole Mass Filter consisting of 4mm field radius quadrupole mass analyzer with a hyperbolic surface and a 10% RF imbalance, which provide excellent peak shape and transmission with a minimum resolution of 0.4 FWHM. Orbitrap Mass Analyzer with an m/z range of 50-6000, resolving power of up to 500,000 FWHM and isotopic fidelity of up to 240,000 FWHM at m/z 200. A Dual-Pressure Linear Ion Trap used for MSn precursor ion isolation and collision induced dissociation (CID) and electron-transfer dissociation (ETD). The ions are detected at a maximum scan rate of 20 Hz using a dual-dynode detector with high linear dynamic range for improved quantitation and a large surface area for increased lifespan and robustness. EASY-ETD Ion Source, generating fluoranthene anions for electron transfer dissociation (ETD) and the EASY-IC Ion Source generating internal calibrant ions for real-time mass calibration of any Orbitrap spectrum. The system also features an independent dual barrel syringe pump and injector/divert valve with mounting bracket, which are both controlled via the data station for maximum flexibility. Computer System: OptiPlex 9010 Minitower Processor: 3rd Generation Intel Core i7-3770 Processor Memory: 8 GB, 3.4GHz w/ HD4000 Graphics Monitor: Dell S2740L (27 quote mark ) LED Monitor Video: Intel Integrated Graphics w/o Adapters Hard Drive: 1TB SATA 6 GB/x with 32MB Data Burst Cache, 1TB DVD: 16X DVD +/- RW SATA, 16X DVD ROM SATA Keyboard: Dell USB Keyboard, English.
